Spacious and comfortable with exceptional hospitality, in an excellent location
The apartment was spacious and modern inside with great character. Mike and Sylvie were incredibly helpful and gave great recommendations in the surrounding area, for restaurants and activities. The location was perfect, with lovely restaurants a short walk away and was also fantastic for exploring the beautiful nearby towns and villages
Loved every part of this relaxing Gite in the Dordogne
The hosts gave a lot of helpful advice on the local area and where to eat. They had also prepared a very comprehensive folder with leaflets on local attractions. We were welcomed with homemade preserves in the kitchen. The washing machine was very much appreciated. A very relaxing location from which to enjoy the Dordogne. We would love to stay here again.
Spotless and wonderful hosts!
The property was spotless and Sylvie and her son were always on hand. Maxim organised a canoe trip for us. Both couldn’t do enough for us. The location was great, with a 10 minute walk to the train station and 10 minutes into the town/to the local supermarket.
Great base and location for seeing the sights of Dordogne
The property was exactly as described, and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The bedrooms were very spacious and immaculately clean. The pool area was larger than expected, with a deep and shallow end. The outdoor seating and BBQ area was perfect. The hosts were excellent and had a great knowledge of the local area, there is a folder provided with many ideas for planning days out. Sainte Cyprien is a lovely town and there are many lovely restaurants, bakeries and a supermarket within a short stroll. We particularly enjoyed the night market on the Thursday evening, which is well worth a visit. Thank you to Mike and Sylvie for a fantastic break, and a special thank you to Max for all his knowledge and hospitality too.
A comfortable holiday home combining the best of a rural area and being in walkable distance of a delightful Dordogne
The location of the house was ideal. It was quietly situated on the edge of the village and the shops were in easy walking reach. It was an easy drive from Bergerac airport and as we discovered, was also accessible by train - something to consider for future visits. The bedrooms were very large and comfortable. The owners live next door and were very helpful and responsive. The outdoor patio was a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal. We enjoyed visiting the Sunday market and we were delighted to be there for the annual flower festival.
This gîte was a perfect base for 4 nights for our family
Spacious, clean, perfectly maintained and equipped, cozy and charming. Our hosts were very welcoming and were available at all times if we needed anything. The interiors of this old converted barn were lovingly done up on their own and the result is really impressive! If you have a car, the location is perfect to drive in and out of all the sights in the Dordogne. A huge Carrefour market almost next door and the lovely village market will keep you happy if you want to eat in for breakfast or a few meals. Don't hesitate to book!
Great stay in the heart of the Dordogne valley
We thought the gîte was great. The bedrooms were very spacious and uncluttered. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. Downstairs was spacious for two people. There was a full kitchen and large dining table for six. The settee was new (not the one in the photo). English TV was available as well as French. There was plenty of space to park off the road. St Cyprien is an attractive small town, very convenient for travelling out in all directions to see the wonderful countryside and the various other places of Interest. There is a Carrefour supermarket nearby to the gîte and the famous market on Sunday mornings. The hosts, Mike and Sylvie, were friendly and helpful when we needed them. We are happy to recommend this gîte and would stay again ourselves.
Great accommodation in a prime location!
The two-story holiday apartment was very nice! We felt very comfortable. The apartment was very well equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed both the pool and the terrace. Sylvie and Mike were wonderful hosts! The location is perfect for exploring the area (Lascaux caves, canoeing on the Dodogne, the surrounding towns). Absolute recommendation!
Super comfortable spacious property with everything we needed for a 6 night stay. We had been on the road travelling through Europe for 13 weeks by this stage and had the best night(s) sleep whilst we stayed here. The bedding was excellent and the property well insulated to keep warm being the start of winter. The kitchen had everything required to make a home cooked meal as well as a washing machine to catch up on a bit of domestic duties. Overall a very well presented property. Mike & Sylvie were perfect hosts and lovely to chat to. They went above and beyond to guide and recommend us to local attractions but also went out of their way to help us source a piece of equipment we need for the next part of our journey. From this location there are a few restaurants within 10 minutes walk into town as well as a supermarket within minutes away. We would highly recommend this property.
